The
Civil Warriors Round Table |
| The
CIVIL WARRIORS ROUND TABLE was formed in 1994, by Bob
Bermont, Michael Blue, and Jeff Wissot. Members range
in Civil War knowledge from novice to near expert. Each
monthly meeting is devoted to a particular aspect of the
American Civil War, featuring battles, politics, biographies,
economics, socio-cultural dynamics, and issues of particular
interest to the presenter. Members alternate as hosts,
and occasional guest speakers are invited. The Round Table

Camp
Olden Civil War Round Table and Museum |
| The
Round Table is named for the training camp that prepared
New Jersey's first nine regiments for war. As was the
custom in that time, the camp bore the name of Charles
Olden, then governor of the state. The Round Table was
established by a diverse group of people brought together
by their shared interest in the American Civil War. It
seeks to educate and promote understanding about the importance
of that crucial time in American history, and most particularly,
New Jersey's role. An annual re-enactment, living history
demonstrations, preservation projects, trips and tours,
lectures, demonstrations, and a variety of school programs
are just some of the things the Camp Olden Round Table
is involved in. They are also the caretakers of the Civil
War and Native American Museum, located in Hamilton Veterans
Park. The site has information on the officers, how to
get involved, and maps. |
